extends java.lang.Object

Database controller to be called in a separate runtime environment. Database server may be shut down via system tray popup menu. Database shutdown will be called also via windows shutdown hook or a shutdown flag file named shutdownFlag in database directory. This file may be written by installation setup tools to shutdown database before replacing files that might be blocked by database server jobs.

Starts the DB controller in an own JRE.

Parameters:

args - args[0] = path of the image to be used for the system tray args[1] = the bin path of java JRE to be used args[2] = the directory where Java DB can be found args[3] = the host name of the computer where java DB runs args[4] = the directory where to deposit files of the particular database
